The IANTD Nitrox Diver course (or EANx Diver) is designed to give recreational sports divers the chance to use a safer breathing mix during their dives, while also benefiting from increased no decompression times.
Upon certification, you will be qualified to dive to 39msw using EANx mixes with a fraction of oxygen between 21% and 40%.
No specific prerequisites exist for the IANTD EANx Diver Course, although you should be a qualified diver.
You will be provided with the IANTD EANx Diver Student Kit, including tables for dive planning. If the option of completing dives is taken, you will also require a cylinder that is in test and oxygen service.
The IANTD Nitrox Diver course is £100.00 per person.
This price includes the training and materials outlined above. Certification costs are also included (providing certification criteria are met).
The following are not included in the course fee: Dive Site costs (inc. entry, accommodation, food, travel etc.), Gas and Sofnolime (if appropriate).
The IANTD EANx Diver Course consist of one classroom session. Here you will learn about both the physics and practical applications of EANx Diving. Optionally, you can choose to complete two dives at open water using Nitrox
Course sessions can be structured to run consecutively or split over a number of sessions.
EVALUATION & ASSESSMENT
Evaluation on the IANTD EANx Diver course is continuous. Throughout the training you will be assessed on your skill, performance and attitude. You will also complete a multi-choice exam during the course
With IANTD Training is purchased, Certification is earned, meaning that you must meet the certification requirements and standards before it is issued. Extra training days can be added if needed.
