New Fourth Element Sub Xero UnderSuit

New Fourth Element Sub Xero UnderSuit

by Phil Grigg / Saturday, 19 April 2008 / Published in Equipment

Firstly, I would like to thank Fourth Element for managing to get a XL Sub Xero out to me when I needed it.

I have now had the pleasure of using on a number of different dives and must say I have been very impressed with it. I have used on a number of different dives over the past few weeks and it has performed faultlessly throughout. Last weekend, in only 12msw in the Sea I must say wearing only the Sub Xero I was practically sweating all the way through the dive, so probably wasn’t the best choice for a shore dive like this.

Where it has come into its own has been during the various teaching dives I do in the Quarries. 3 hours a day in 6degrees C is always a good test of an undersuit and wearing the Sub Xero combined with a Xerotherm base layer I was pretty comfortably throughout the dives. I would say it is roughly as warm as the Xerotherm Arctic and Weezle Extreme combination that I was wearing before, but is much comfier, has much more features and looks a lot better on as well! Many people have commented that it looks to good to dive in!

If you are doing lengthy dives, don’t like the cold, or simply just want to look good at the dive site then this is definitely the suit to get
